Formal V.S Informal Balance

To show Informal balance, I recreated the elevator scene from The Shining. The beginning picture is perfectly symmetrical, until the blood spills out. Therefore, it would be informal balance.

Street Art

For my graffiti street art, I created cracks in a wood wall and filled them with pictures of paradise. I then used a stencil and spray painted a paradise found sign on the wall.

Rhythm and Movement

In this ArtRage project, I designed my background in sunset inspired colors and finished it by using the stencil tool and glitter to make similar colored swirls.

Rothko-esque Painting

I started my Rothko-esque painting by blending pink, purple, and teal and the topped it with different shades of red and light white streaks in between.

My "Cat" Deeley photo creates a cat version of the famous celebrity.

Scanned Felt Tip Zendoodle

I decided for my scanned felt tip drawing, I wanted to do a zen doodle so that I could use tons of colors. There are multiple different gradients, patterns and miniature scenes.

In my comic, a lady in pink is taken by a ghost through a haunted castle. Throughout the rooms, she meets, 2 zombies, a few bats, Dracula, and of course the ghost.

Kaleidoscope

For this assignment, I went online and found a blank kaleidoscope picture. I then transferred it to photoshop and colored it in. I used a lot of different patterns and effects to try and make it look trippy. My orginal work is the top one and then i went crazy and did the second one.

Blake Lively Coloring Page

This assignment challenged us to create a coloring book page of a celebrity. I picked Blake Lively because she is one of my favorites and i thought her hair would be fun to trace. I focused on her hair and really trying to make it look real not just like on outline. I kept her outfit simple as it is in the original picture.

Cartoon Version of a Masterpiece

To recreate Andy Warhol's Moonwalk from 1987, I went with a spongebob theme. I changed the background to look like bikini bottom, retraced the flag and added spongebob as an astronaut.

The Scream

To create my personal Scream, I changed the colors and added my own way of making it look textured. My favorite part about it was how the sky turned out.

For Part 2 of The Scream project, I was supposed to add my face to my Scream. I took a silly picture of me recreating the Scream face and dragged it on top.

Mona Lisa

To create my personal Mona Lisa, I changed the background, switched her clothes a little bit and added a few details. One thing I did was add fingernails, I thought her hands looked funny without them and it ended up being a nice detail.
